Affordability -- Tuition and Costs
According to Boarding School Review, of 12 national military boarding schools, NMMI has the lowest tuition (tuition, room/board). NMMI is less than 1/2 the cost of the highest military boarding school listed at $30,977! Our 2008 – 2009 academic year total costs are: $8,701 (Resident) and $12, 251 (Non-Resident). Tuition, fixed fees, room, board, and laundry are charged each semester. Uniforms are a one time cost in the first semester. Visit our Business Office for more information.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
Annually, NMMI funds more than $2M in merit and need-based scholarships! There are a total of 176 NMMI based scholarships. Approximately 30 are for in-state cadets and approximately 25 are for out-of-state cadets. We also offer 20 scholarships specifically for college cadets. For New Mexico residents, in partnership with the New Mexico Legislature, we offer the Lieutenant General Richard T. Knowles Legislator Scholarship that enables each of New Mexico’s 112 legislators to nominate from their district a qualified student to attend NMMI on scholarship. NMMI also offers Athletic Grants-In-Aid for college cadets. For more financial aid information, contact the Financial Aid Department at (575) 624-8066 or finaid@nmmi.edu.
